Big Horn County authorities say a local man died when he was accidentally shot while apparently removing a loaded rifle from a truck.

A 39-year-old man was killed Friday night in a wreck near Hardin. The Big Horn County Coroner Terry Bullis said the victim is Loren Pickett from Crow Agency.

A coal-to-liquids plant won't operate here for at least eight years, but if it does, the income will benefit the Crow Reservation for generations to come.
